Amy Carr-Hilton

Registered Massage Therapist

Amy is an RMT, with over 10 years experience, who brings a neuroscience and trauma informed approach to her manual treatments. Her fascination with health led her to initially pursue training in fitness, functional movement and exercise psychology, becoming a personal trainer in 2000, then pursuing yoga therapy where she worked with neurodivergent clients, and clients living with chronic pain.

In 2011 she became a registered massage therapist, graduating with honours from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Since becoming an RMT she has focused on sport massage as a sport massage certification candidate, working with adult and youth athletes through training and injury recovery, perinatal care including an outreach for high risk pregnancies at Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto, and chronic pain with a focus on bringing more empowered self-care along with manual therapy for chronic pain.

Her own experience with recovering from chronic pain and other chronic neuroplastic symptoms helps her bring compassion and experience to the process of regulation of the nervous system and calming pain signals during massage therapy treatments.

Whether you’re seeing Amy during recovery from surgery or injury, support in mobility or strength training, looking for comfort during pregnancy, or seeking out a more active, empowered approach to working through chronic pain, Amy will have a treatment plan complete with self-care so you can continue the process after your treatments.

She understands how important it is for you to feel comfortable and capable in your body so that you can enjoy being active in the things that bring you joy, and she’s dedicated her continuing education over the years to helping you reach those goals using evidence-based therapy.

When she’s not working with clients, you can find her mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, at the gym, singing, playing cello, reading a book, or just generally enjoying life.
